What’s Going On Wednesdays | September 2020

I’m starting off the month right by going on vacation!

Yes, that’s right. It’s long overdue. I am mentally shutting down at work and my motivation to do anything is wearing down. So I need to escape for a few days and not worry about anything.

But it’s new month, which means new goals. So here’s what’s going on in September:

August was a good month for the blog. I wrote a lot and have been posting at least twice a week as scheduled. I don’t plan on doing any blog writing while I’m on vacation, so I want to shoot for at least 6 posts this month. I also plan to finish my Black Voices series this month. I’ve been finding some great reads to share with you all.

This month, I want to read at least 3 books. I’m getting used to making a TBR every month, which is helpful. The hard part is sticking to it.

Colleen Hoover is one of my favorite authors, an auto-buy author for me. Her latest release Heart Bones just came out in August and it’s already downloaded to my Kindle, ready to be read! Kingdom of Flesh and Fire by Jennifer L. Armentrout just dropped yesterday and I CAN’T WAIT TO READ IT!!! This is a sequel to From Blood and Ash, which was AMAZING. The Black Kids is an ARC I received via Netgalley. I’m so grateful to have received an ARC even after it’s release. The synopsis is gripping. I want to read more books dealing with social commentary and I think this is a great choice.

So there you have it. This is what’s going on in September, so cheers to a good month!
