Ungodly Hour Book Tag

So Rae at Rae’s Reads and Reviews, made this awesome book tag for the Ungodly Hour album by the amazingly talented Chloe x Halle and I just had too do it. Their album, Ungodly Hour, came out a few weeks ago and what a great way to celebrate by doing a book tag!

The Rules

  • Credit the creator: Rae @ Rae’s Reads and Reviews
  • Shout out the person who tagged you
  • List the rules of the tag in your post.
  • Tag at least 3 people to do the tag!

Alright, let’s get into it!

Intro – A book that got you into reading

Go Eat Worms! (Goosebumps, #21) by R.L. Stine

The Goosebumps series was my favorite series to read in elementary school! I can’t remember the first Goosebumps book I read, but I remember not being able to put down Go Eat Worms. Ten-year-old me LIVED for the thriller.

Forgive Me – A book or book character you don’t think you’ll ever forgive

Arobynn Hamel is just one of those characters that I will never, ever forgive. All the things Celaena, Sam, and Lysandra went through at the hands of this man made my blood boil!

Baby Girl – A story with a lot of character development

I enjoyed the journey that Adelina had in this series. Her character development was one of the strongest I’ve seen. She went through so much over this series. I think Marie Lu did an amazing job with flushing out her character and making us think twice about if we were really rooting for Adelina, or not.

Do It – A hyped book that lives up to the hype

The Hate U Give was everything that we needed and more! It’s one of those books that’s relevant in every generation. I think THUG is one book that everyone should read, especially with what’s going on with the world today.

Tipsy – A character who’s tipsy on love

Edward and Bella’s relationship is definitely something no one should strive for. The dependency between these two, more so on Bella’s side, is ridiculous and toxic.

Ungodly Hour – A couple you’re rooting for

41150487. sy475

Alex and Henry are my OTP of the year. I went through all the emotions with them, the highs and the lows. I loved everything about their relationship!

Busy Boy – A story with multiple love interests

Loved/hated the love triangle between Ridge, Sydney, and Maggie. It’s so conflicting because Maybe Someday is so well-written!

Catch Up – A story with a problematic couple or miscommunication plot

16096824. sy475

Feyre and Tamlin were one of the most problematic couples I’ve ever read about. It was cringey reading the scenes between them.

Overwhelmed – A book that caught you by surprise

48760923. sy475

All I wanted was a run of the mill romance story to get into. What I got was one of my favorites books of the year and a new favorite author. Queen Move was everything and Kennedy Ryan’ writing is *chef’s kiss*.

Lonely – Your favorite independent character

39122774. sy475

Zelie, my girl! Loved her from the beginning. I can’t wait to see where her journey goes in the third book.

Don’t Make it Harder on Me – A book that left you in a reading slump

I don’t know what it was about Sex and Vanity, but after I was done, I couldn’t get back to Capturing the Devil. It was just a lot and not enough all at once.

Wonder What she Thinks of Me – A character you think about regularly

I think about June and Day from time to time, wondering how their relationship is going and if they’re ok. Rebel didn’t give me enough of the two of them to leave me satisfied.

ROYL – A book outside your comfort zone that you ended up loving

I don’t usually read autobiographies or memoirs or any nonfiction books honestly. When Trevor Noah came out with Born a Crime, I was intrigued. Thanks to a free trial with Audible, I ended up giving it a try. I loved Trevor’s narration. His story is really interesting and one of a kind. Reading his memoir led me to reading Becoming by Michelle Obama, and both books are some of my favorites books.

This was such a fun tag! I encourage everyone who comes across it to participate!

  1. Thank you so much for trying out the tag 😀 I agree that Bella was definitely tipsy with love and The Hate U Give is one of my all-time faves! I really want to read Born a Crime (especially with how much I love Trevor Noah) but I have yet to get to it
