Hello readers! I haven’t done an anticipated release post in a very long time. But I’m back with just a few books that are coming out in October that I’d love to my hands on.
Title/Author: Rebel (Legend #4) by Marie Lu
Publication Date: October 1, 2019
Edition/Pages: Hardcover/384 pages
Genre: Young Adult/Dystopian/Science Fiction
Goodreads synopsis:
Eden Wing has been living in his brother’s shadow for years.
Even though he’s a top student at his academy in Ross City, Antarctica, and a
brilliant inventor, most people know him only as Daniel Wing’s little brother.
A decade ago, Daniel was known as Day, the boy from the streets who led a
revolution that saved the Republic of America. But Day is no longer the same
young man who was once a national hero. These days he’d rather hide out from
the world and leave his past behind. All that matters to him now is keeping
Eden safe―even if that also means giving up June, the great love of Daniel’s
life.
As the two brothers struggle to accept who they’ve each become since their time
in the Republic, a new danger creeps into the distance that’s grown between
them. Eden soon finds himself drawn so far into Ross City’s dark side, even his
legendary brother can’t save him. At least not on his own . . .
I mean look at that cover! That’s a beauty right there. I loved the first three Legend books. Marie Lu is an amazing writer, one of my favorites, and I have no doubt that this finale will come with a bang.
Title/Author: Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo
Publication Date: October 8, 2019
Edition/Pages: Hardcover/480 pages
Genre: New Adult/Fantasy
Goodreads synopsis:
Galaxy “Alex” Stern is the most unlikely member of Yale’s
freshman class. Raised in the Los Angeles hinterlands by a hippie mom, Alex
dropped out of school early and into a world of shady drug dealer boyfriends,
dead-end jobs, and much, much worse. By age twenty, in fact, she is the sole
survivor of a horrific, unsolved multiple homicide. Some might say she’s thrown
her life away. But at her hospital bed, Alex is offered a second chance: to
attend one of the world’s most elite universities on a full ride. What’s the
catch, and why her?
Still searching for answers to this herself, Alex arrives in New Haven tasked
by her mysterious benefactors with monitoring the activities of Yale’s secret
societies. These eight windowless “tombs” are well-known to be haunts of the
future rich and powerful, from high-ranking politicos to Wall Street and
Hollywood’s biggest players. But their occult activities are revealed to be
more sinister and more extraordinary than any paranoid imagination might
conceive.
After reading the Six of Crows duology and King of Scars, Leigh Bardugo has become an auto-buy author for me. Ninth House sounds like a mystery I can get into solving. It also sounds like a novel I won’t be able to put down, which is common when I read anythinng Bardugo writes.
Title/Author: Twice in a Blue Moon by Christina Lauren
Publication Date: October 22, 2019
Edition/Pages: Hardcover/368 pages
Genre: Adult contemporary romance
Goodreads synopsis:
Sam Brandis was Tate Jones’s first: Her first love. Her first
everything. Including her first heartbreak.
During a whirlwind two-week vacation abroad, Sam
and Tate fell for each other in only the way that first loves do: sharing all
of their hopes, dreams, and deepest secrets along the way. Sam was the first,
and only, person that Tate—the long-lost daughter of one of the world’s biggest
film stars—ever revealed her identity to. So when it became clear her trust was
misplaced, her world shattered for good.
Fourteen years later, Tate, now an up-and-coming
actress, only thinks about her first love every once in a blue moon. When she
steps onto the set of her first big break, he’s the last person she expects to
see. Yet here Sam is, the same charming, confident man she knew, but even more
alluring than she remembered. Forced to confront the man who betrayed her, Tate
must ask herself if it’s possible to do the wrong thing for the right reason…
and whether “once in a lifetime” can come around twice.
I love a good romance book and Christina Lauren definitely know how to write one. The author duo have a slew of best sellers under their belt with multiple series and stand-alone books. I’m excited to see what Twice in a Blue Moon has in store.

So those are my anticipated releases for October 2019. Not a whole lot honestly, but i need some recommendations! What releases are you excited for this upcoming month? Comment below and help my TBR grow uncontrollably 😊
